As Administrative Director of Nursing, Catherine Jamerson provides strategic leadership in assuring department alignment in achieving organizational expectations of employee engagement, distinctive patient services, provision of quality and safe services and fiscal responsibility. Mrs. Jamerson primary role in achieving organizational expectations is as a communicator, facilitator and translator of the organizational expectations; and assures the team leaders and employees have the human and fiscal resources to effectively accomplish an engaged workforce, exceptional patient experience and the provisions of quality and safe services.
Mrs. Jamerson serves on many councils and committees both within and outside of SSM. She serves as the SSM Health St. Louis Regional Professional Nursing Practice Council leadership facilitator and is a member of the Mission Partnership Team as well as a Diversity consultant. She serves on the DePaul’s Ethics Committee, and is a board member of the Missouri Organization of Nurse Leaders and the President for the St. Louis Council of Nurse Leaders. Catherine is a member of the National Black Nurses Association and serves as the Health Public Policy Chair.
Mrs. Jamerson holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminology/Criminal Justice from University of Missouri–St. Louis and a Master of Arts in Management from Webster University. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and later returned to school earning her second master’s degree from Webster University; this time in Nursing with an emphasis on education. Mrs. Jamerson was awarded the Missouri Organization of Nurse Leaders, 2018 Excellence in Nursing Leadership.
